At Big Sky, we are a group of people who have been graciously rescued by Jesus. Our salvation in Christ is what defines us and everything we seek to do flows out of this relationship with Him. Scripture refers to us as Christ’s bride, and His body, and the temple of the Holy Spirit. All of these are things that have profound theological depth and an everyday simplicity that brings joy in this life. We who were once sinners under God’s wrath have been brought near through the blood of Christ and saved from our sins. As God’s children adopted into His family, we seek to live lives of worship toward our Father in heaven. We are not perfect and while there are still struggles in this life we face; we are a people who are trusting in our perfect Savior. Jesus will deliver us one day into the presence of God, clothed in His righteousness. Because of all of this we seek to be a gospel-centered, Word-submitted, God - glorifying people.

We gather together on Sunday mornings for the purpose of worship which involves praise, prayer, and the preaching of the Word. Our mission is to know God and then to make Him known not only in our community, but also to the world. This reality shapes our corporate gathering. In our pursuit to know God we strive to know Him in the way he has chosen to reveal himself. This is why our first priority is the study of his word, the Bible. God has given us his perfect word, and we know him by knowing this word. Our desire is to be more shaped by the Word of God than anything else in this world. The second part of our mission is making this glorious God known here in the North Valley and around the world. Every Sunday we are displaying, proclaiming, and celebrating the gospel of Jesus which alone has the power to save mankind from our sins. We would love to have you come join us on Sunday mornings to see who we are, and to experience who God is. Our primary purpose each time we gather is to make much of our God, and to have our hearts and others enflamed with a passion for him.

We have two worship services on Sunday mornings at 9am and 10:30am. We also have various small groups and Bible studies that meet throughout the week. You can also join us LIVE each week on Facebook or Youtube at 9am on Sundays.

A Basic Rundown...

The most important thing about us is that we are objects of God’s love through Jesus Christ. This love is dynamic and personal, transforming us from people who are naturally preoccupied with ourselves into a community of Christian believers who are committed to loving others with the same love we have received from God.

We gather on a weekly basis to express heartfelt worship. Our worship includes lots of singing, music, prayer, communion, personal stories of God’s work, and teaching based explicitly on passages from the Bible. We celebrate and articulate the Good News of what God has done through Jesus Christ—in history and in our lives.

During the week, we meet in smaller gatherings called “Small groups.” These provide an opportunity for us to apply what we are learning from the Bible while building authentic relationships and serving others together.

What About My Children?

Our Big Sky Kids’ Ministry values a safe and creative learning environment for our families. Children in grades K-5 worship with us during the singing and then are dismissed to their classroom for a Bible lesson designed for their age level. *Quest: Grades 3-5 only meet on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month. The other weeks, we are training them to enjoy service with thier families.

Children from newborns to kindergarten have a separate area in which they spend the whole service being cared for and taught by our certified leaders.

High school and middle school students engage in their own weekly gatherings as well as various social events and mission projects with our student ministry, which meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:00 at the church.
